Policy Work

I have worked as a policy analyst and/or researcher for nearly ten years in various roles and hold a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. My policy/research background includes experience in government, academia, think tanks and private consulting. For a full list of my previous positions and duties, see my LinkedIn profile.

My main fields of policy expertise are at the intersection of political science and economics, with a strong (although not exclusive) focus on the European context. Some of my focus areas include:

  • European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU)
  • European integration and enlargement
  • European (economic) sovereignty and foreign policy
  • Economic, fiscal and financial regulation policy

I also have a strong interest in post-Communist/transition economies, democratisation and good governance in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as economic insecurity, labour market policies and youth policy around the world.

Other policy areas in which I have past experience include: industrial policy; competition policy; trade policy; consumer policy; international security cooperation; international law; treaty negotiation; and indigenous self-government.
