I provide German-to-English translation services for contexts that demand a high degree of precision and sensibility for nuance and tone. My focus areas are:
- Public policy (think tanks, governments, public institutions)
- Academia (especially social sciences and economics)
- Journalism and editorials
- Literary translation, including creative non-fiction
My translation work is based on nearly ten years of experience as an analyst or researcher in government, academia, and private sector consulting. Unlike most agency translators, I have personally written the kinds of documents that clients ask me to translate – policy reports, academic papers, briefing notes, editorials, etc. – and know exactly what is required.

My clients are mostly think tanks, universities and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). I also work with German and English publishers. However, I’m always looking to broaden my client base!
